How does the bathroom design process work?
Firstly, I will visit your home to meet you and get a feel for your interior design style. We will talk through any design or functionality ideas you already have and I will show you some examples of bathrooms in books, magazines and my scrapbooks. This will help me understand what you do and don’t like. I will also measure the room.
Next, I will research ideas and create a design for your bathroom space. I will return to present my ideas which will be laid out on a mood board along with a scale drawing of the room. I will also provide you with tile and/or flooring samples and ideas of paint colours. An accompanying document will provide links of non-sanitaryware items included in the design e.g. tiles.
If you wish to take it from there yourself, that will conclude my work with you. This service is priced from £600 per room.
Bathroom installation project management
If you wish I can project manage the supply and installation of the bathroom for you as a complimentary follow-on service.
The next step will be for my bathroom supply partner to create 3D images of the bathroom and provide you with a quotation for the sanitaryware, taps and cabinets etc. The purchase of any goods through the supply partner is an arrangement between yourself and the supplier directly.
I can also highly recommend a bathroom fitter with a great work ethic and high attention to detail. Once the 3D plans and order are ready, he will visit the site to check everything. Using his fitter’s matrix he will work out an installation cost for you. Again, your contract for fitting will be directly with the fitter, but I will project manage timings and communication between all parties.
If you proceed with my bathroom supply partner, there is nothing further to pay than the original design fee. If you receive 3D visuals of the bathroom and a quotation of goods to order, but then decide not to proceed, there is a £250 fee payable for the time spent preparing these materials.
